Community”
What’s Important?
We are living in a day
where each of us must
determine what’s most
important to our lives.
How are we spending our
money? How do we spend
our time? What is
important? I like the
instruction Paul gives
us in his letter to the
Ephesians. He tells
them,
“Be careful how you
walk, (live), not as
unwise but as wise,
making the best use of
the time because the
days are evil.
Therefore, do not be
foolish but understand
what the Lord’s will is.
(Eph 5: 15-17)
Paul is teaching us to
take the time to “Be
careful how we live”. He
wants each of us to have
the discernment to deal
with the time we have
here. One example would
be this. How much time
to we spend each day in
front of our TV sets
when we could be
spending more time
communicating with our
children or our spouse?
This is clearly one of
the most important
investments of time we
could ever make. You
see wisdom that comes
from God’s word helps us
to understand how to
connect the management
of our time with what’s
really important in
life. Paul pleads with
every believer to bring
his or her time use
along with every other
area of their lives
under the control of the
Holy Spirit. Why? So we
do not end up being
controlled by the escape
of drug use or alcohol
use or something else.
The greatest book ever
written for how to
invest our time wisely
is the Bible. As a
Pastor, my desire, my
passion is to equip the
church with the wisdom
that comes from the
Bible, God’s word to us.

look to the word of God
for answers as to how we
are to live. You will
hear sound teaching from
the God’s word.
